More Details

Simon Shingleton is a chaos wrangler. With the thinnest of lines he finds places of intersection and space, bringing them together to extract images of faces and bodies sprawling across the paper. Shingleton chivies his lines into shapes and edges, and matches them with spaces and blanks until what emerges is a coherent whole when seen from a distance. He works mainly with paper, ink and pastels.
